Today Show officially launches Carols By Candlelight

Raising money for children who are blind or have low vision.

For the third year, Tink PR was again involved with iconic Melbourne event, Vision Australia’s Carols By Candlelight.

On Tuesday 12 November at Fed Square, Tink PR was involved in the launch of Light A Candle, a campaign which aims to raise money in the lead-up to Carols By Candlelight. The event was hosted by Tony Jones and included live crosses to Nine News with Rebecca Judd and featured performances by Darren Percival, Rachael Leahcar, Silvie Paladino and the Gospel Choir. Some of the Big Brother evictees were also on hand to lend their support.

Tink PR generated pre-publicity for this launch in both the local and metro newspapers, a series of radio interviews on 3AW, ABC, Gold FM, Light FM, Magic and more.

On Wednesday 11 December, Tink PR worked closely with Channel Nine and the Today Show to officially launch Carols By Candlelight at Vision Australia’s Kooyong facility. With roving entertainment, fairies, elves and performances by Harrison Craig, Les Mis performers Patrice Tipoki and Simon Gleeson, the Australian Girls Choir and Rachael Leahcar, it was a fun-filled festive celebration.

As well as securing the Today Show weather crosses, Tink PR also conducted a series of radio interviews with media partner Light FM and Vision Australia radio.
