Tink PR was thrilled to work on the 2015 Chinese New Year Festival in Chinatown. The festival highlighted the very best of Chinese tradition and featured a wide variety of activities for the community to get involved in.
Unquestionably, the highlight of the event was the Millennium Dragon Parade on Sunday 22 February, where over 70,000 people filled the streets of Chinatown in celebration of this milestone. Tink PR was responsible for generating just over a million dollars in PR value across print, online, radio and TV with all news stations covering the media launch and the dragon parade, 2 page dragon feature in The Age, coverage in Urban List, Concrete Playground, Herald Sun Taste Lift out, 3AW Ross and John, BBC, Time Out Melbourne and more. We were also responsible for securing Channel Seven as their official broadcast partner and leveraging their involvement with over $40,000 in coverage on Mitch’s Melbourne.
It was a very successful first year which we will continue to build on in 2016. Kung Hei Fatt Choi!
